A Semi-Charmed Life
As suggested by the two prior posts, yesterday was kind of weird for me. First time giving notice to take on a new job - first time getting mugged. Life has a peculiar way of balancing things. Yet, in the end, the bad for me is never all that bad, and the balance is still skewed to the good. One is left to wonder why that is...*
*Please note that this does not mean I am becoming an optimist. Far from it. Nor, much to the disappointment of my intake nurse last night, have I found religion. The loosely paraphrased conversation upon my stating "none" in response to being asked what religion to put on the triage form: "None? Are you sure? Can't I put something?" "No, none it is." "But I feel weird putting none down - are you sure?" In retrospect, perhaps I should have said Jedi.
