Hail To Drunken Irishmen!
Prompted by a comment from Dawn, I realized I had failed to mention the results of the other election last week - mayor of fair Jersey City. At this point, there is still no winner. The naked, drunken Irishman currently has a fairly sizeable lead (16,000-13,000) and has even declared victory. The problem is that the crooked Italian, currently in second, has refused to concede until every vote is counted. He claims there may be 15,000 uncounted votes out there that could swing the election his way. Of the remaining 26,000 votes, the "black guy" (as Dawn has taken to calling him) took 12,000 to finish a strong third. No word on whether the candidate on the Yes Lord! ticket is still waiting to hear from god to find out what his positions are.
Update
The wait continues. The current acting mayor is replaced as soon as the results are certified, but until then, nothing is getting done in City Hall.
